Mixing many of the established traits of the Batman franchise while adding in some surprise twists and turns, Batman: The Telltale Series marked developer Telltale Games’ take on the classic DC hero and what fans expect from the character, which might continue its story in a potential sequel.

A ratings listing appeared on New Zealand’s Film & Video Labeling Body for a project titled Batman: The Enemy Within, with the listing most likely tied to a potential sequel to Telltale Games’ Batman series (which concluded its first season last year). Specifically, the listing ties to a new game directed by Kent Mudle, who served as the director of Batman: The Telltale Series previously.

While no official confirmation has been provided yet by Telltale Games, the potential for a sequel to the first season of Batman: The Telltale Series seems high given the broad appeal of Batman as a character. Incidentally, Telltale Games also tweeted a hint at an incoming announcement from the studio for this week’s San Diego Comic Con 2017, which might be where we see if (or when) Telltale announces a follow-up to its Batman series. This might be a case where the bat…errr, cat got let out of the bag a little earlier than intended.

Telltale has also had a history of previous projects also being outed by ratings or cast listings in the past, such as the leak of Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series last year that pre-empted the game’s (eventual) announcement at The Video Game Awards this past December.

Batman: The Telltale Series concluded its first season last year, which is available now for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, iOS, and Android.
