Ubisoft has recently announced Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, the next installment into the world of assassins and historical settings which a person from the future visits through the use of a time-traveling type of mind-inserting machine called the Animus. Well, if the historic settings are what gets your blood pumping for the games, you’re in for a treat.

A Twitter user asked creative director Ashraf Ismail “Can we visit Stonehenge?” in the upcoming title in which players play the role of a Viking who travels from Norway to the UK. In the cinematic trailer, we see King Aelfred of Wessex who was in the southern areas of the UK.

Ismail replied to the tweet saying, basically yes, you can visit Stonehenge which is also in the south. This has also led to some users now wondering exactly what else we’ll be able to see from the United Kingdom’s past. Seeing as how I personally live quite close to where Stonehenge is, I’m wondering if I’d be able to see where my nearest Tesco is.

While we’re not entirely sure how large the map of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is, we’ll probably get a good idea this week when Ubisoft releases a gameplay trailer giving us a better look at how the game will look. We do know that players will be able to visit the Four Kingdoms of England though, which means East Anglia (Easten UK), Mercia (Midlands), Northumbria (Northern England), and Wessex (South England).

Going by that, we’ll no doubt be able to explore a scaled-down version of the UK, which would mean the map could be huge.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is due to land on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Holiday 2020. You can pre-order it on Amazon if you wish, and for PC, the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
