Hamster has revealed the latest addition to its expanding Arcade Archives library on Switch with Kid’s Horehore Daisakusen being made available for all lovers of this nostalgic gaming experience, and of course newcomers too.

Kid’s Horehore Daisakusen is an action game that was released from Nichibutsu all the way back in the classic gaming era of 1987 Japan. Kid, who has been drawn into the space-time labyrinth from the 23rd century, fights to escape from a large track of the enemy in order to return to the present day. Players defeat enemies with dropping in holes with using items, to escape from the times, such as primitive times and the Edo era and contemporary.

Nihon Bussan rereleased it on the good old Game Boy as Booby Boys, which was originally called  “Booby Kids.” Although neither version saw the light of day in America, the Arcade Archives version was released for PlayStation 4 in Japan 2016 and then was released later the same year in the states.

Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and whether you were alive or not in the 80’s, you can replicate the atmosphere of the exact arcade mode settings of that time. Although there isn’t an online mode, players can go head to head with other gamers all over the planet with their high scores, let the competing begin!
