Every game in the Mega Man X series will be coming to modern consoles, including the Nintendo Switch. Announced in Capcom’s Mega Man 30th Anniversary livestream, it was revealed that the collection would be making its way to the latest round of consoles. Even better, gamers can expect the collection by Summer 2018.

At the moment, this is all the details we have. Unanswered questions include “will these games be grouped together in a collection like Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, or should we be expecting individual releases?” However, in a PR email, Capcom let us know they will have more details available in the upcoming months.

Thankfully, this isn’t the only Mega Man news within the 30th-anniversary livestream. According to Capcom, fans can expect a new mainline game — Mega Man 11 — for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One next year. And while the details on that game are also sparse, you can check the 2.5D action-packed trailer in the article.

The Mega Man X series launched in 1993 and hasn’t seen a mainline entry since 2004 with Mega Man X8 — not including the ZX spinoff series, of course. However, the series (which undoubtedly has its share of duds) is well-loved by many, offering a redesign in both graphics and control to the mainline platforming of Mega Man titles.

As mentioned above, the Mega Man X series will be available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One in Summer 2018.

Updated: Article now reflects the 2018 launch date.
