Ace Combat 7 Gets New Trailer Showing the Perfect Application of PlayStation VR

Today, Bandai Namco Entertainment released a new trailer of the PS4 version of Ace Combat 7: Skies Uknown.

The trailer showcases the PlayStation VR feature in the game, allowing players to basically sit in the virtual cockpit of a fighter or attacker aircraft.

We get to see the ability to observe the aircraft in the hangar, and then some flying and battle gameplay.

Alongside driving games, we can definitely say that this is the perfect application for the immersion provided by PlayStation VR, as developers needed no gimmicks to simulate movement. Having tried the feature a couple of months back, I can definitely say that it felt very natural, and very good.

It is certainly not a coincidence that Ace Combat 7: Skies Uknown won our “Best VR Game” award at Gamescom.

You can check out the trailer below. If you want to see more of the game, you can watch me playing a demo of the game, alongside the latest trailers and screenshots.
