Originally released in 2016 on PC and mobile, the narrative adventure game 1979 Revolution: Black Friday showed players a unique story grounded in the historical setting of the Iranian Revolution as a photojournalist experiences the tragedies firsthand, with the game now set to come to consoles in the coming weeks.

Developer iNK Stories has announced that 1979 Revolution: Black Friday will officially be heading to consoles later this summer, with the game’s PS4 version to arrive first on July 31st, 2018, followed a few days by its releases for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

With the game having been made in mind with the developer’s first-hand experiences of the Iranian Revolution, iNK Stories has said that it wanted to ensure that 1979 Revolution was “an authentic retelling and framing of events,” with the team having conducted “exhaustive research during its development” in interviewing and speaking with Iranian academics and other figures that had experiences during that time period.

1979 Revolution: Black Friday is available now on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android, and will arrive for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this summer. For a closer look at the game, you can check out the new trailer for the game’s console versions below:
