11-11: Memories Retold certainly looks like a game that would be very suitable for the Nintendo Switch, but for the moment it has been announced only for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

In order to gauge the possibility for a Switch port, we asked Creative Director Yoan Fanise and Aardman Animation Studio Producer George Rowes at Gamescom whether they’d like to give it a try.

Rowes mentioned that they would love to, but it isn’t an easy task due to technical reasons:

“We’d love to, but the graphical effect is pretty performace-heavy.”

Rowes explained that the console possibly has a little bit less power than what would be required to get the game to run for the moment. That makes it impossible to release the game at the same time as the other platforms.

Yet, if the game is successful, they’d love to make it happen. Fanise also added that it’s a “big technical challenge.” When I mentioned that this seems to be a title that would be very suitable for the console, he confirmed that he’d like to play it on Switch himself.

11-11: Memories Retold will release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 9th. If you want to know more about the game, you should check out the latest trailer. You can also read how Rowes and Fanise feel that Sony’s God of War was very good for the industry, as it proved once more the value of single-player story-driven games.
