10tons Ltd. has ported a ton of games from their back catalog to Nintendo Switch this fall, including titles like Neon Chrome, Crimsonland, and Xenoraid. The first of these ports was of Sparkle 2 back in September, so the developer decided to come full circle and finished off the year by releasing Sparkle Unleashed on the Nintendo Switch for $7.99.

For those who don’t know, the developers designed Sparkle Unleashed as an offshoot or spinoff of sorts to Sparkle 2. This version changes things up by having players shoot marbles by moving around at the bottom of the screen instead of shooting from the center. To complete a level, players must match three marbles of the same color together to make them disappear and eventually clear the level.

Overall, Sparkle Unleashed boast having over 108 levels, a survival mode, and eighteen different powerups that change up how the game plays. Sparkle Unleashed also has a soundtrack composed by Jonathan Geer, who has worked with 10tons on many of their previous titles. Tero Alatalo, CEO of 10tons Ltd, had the following to say about the prospects of bringing Sparkle Unleashed over to the Nintendo Switch:

“Sparkle 2 did great on Switch when we launched it in September, and we expect Sparkle Unleashed to find its fans as well. The games are very similar, each representing a variation of the popular marble shooter match-3 action puzzle genre. These are just immensely fun games to play!”

Sparkle Unleashed is currently available on PC, PS Vita, PS3, PS4, iOS, Android, Xbox One, and now Nintendo Switch. If you want to see DualShockers’ thoughts on the game, you can check out our review of the Xbox One version.
