Coming from the lead designer of Monument Valley, Ken Wong, the upcoming indie game Florence will bring players into the world of a young woman as she experiences the ups and downs of love and luckily, the game’s release date happens to coincide with its theme perfectly.

Developer Mountains has announced that Florence — which is the studio’s debut title — will officially release for iOS on February 14th, 2018, making its Valentine’s Day release appropriate given the context of the game.

Originally announced last last year by publisher Annapurna Interactive, the game will tell the story of the main character, Florence Yeoh as she meets and falls with a cello player named Krish. Over the course of the game, players will experience Florence and Krish’s romance as it unfolds over the course of their day-to-day lives through various mini-games and interactive vignettes, which is inspired by various graphic novels and webcomics. The game has also taken inspiration from various romantic films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and (500) Days of Summer.

The game will release for $2.99 on the App Store and pre-orders are now available for those that wish to pre-purchase the game before it arrives on iOS next week.

Florence is heading to iOS on February 14th, 2018.
