It’s been no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 launched with a myriad of bugs and issues. The console version of the game was released in such a way that the developers of the game issued an apology and offered full refunds. Though the main issue was with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, the PC version still had its share of problems.

The most notable of these problems saw player’s save files corrupt if they reached over 8MB, a limit that is easily reached when making use of Cyberpunk’s crafting feature. While CD Projekt Red is undoubtedly working around the clock to fix the game’s many problems, they’ve clearly seen this as one of the bigger ones.

As of right now, players can download Cyberpunk 2077’s latest patch (1.06) which has removed the PC version’s 8MB save file limit. This is good news going forwards, however, for those who had already lost their saves, CD Projekt Red says that unfortunately “this won’t fix save files corrupted before the update.”

The patch should also help crashes on console versions of the game and fixes an issue with Dum Dum going missing during the Second Conflict quest.

Although the game launched to an underwhelming reception, it has still continued to sell incredibly well. Despite being removed from the PlayStation Store, a warning on the Xbox Store and GameStop accepting refunds of physical copies of the game, Cyberpunk 2077 has now exceeded 13 million units sold. This is an extra five million on top of the game’s already impressive eight million pre-orders and accounts for any copies of the game that have already been returned.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on Google Stadia, PCPS4 and Xbox One with native PS5 and Xbox Series X versions coming next year. You can read our review on DualShockers right now.
