Xbox Seems to be Teasing a Game of Thrones Themed Console

Game of Thrones, HBO, Microsoft, News, Originals, Xbox One

To coincide with the latest episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones going live last night, the official Xbox Twitter account seemingly teased a crossover of sorts that could soon be happening between the two brands.

In a brief video shared from Xbox on Twitter, we can see a blast of fire appearing before then a small glimpse of the surface of what seems to be an object can be seen. The object in question contains the Targaryen house emblem from Game of Thrones and is surrounding by a pattern that resembles dragon scales. The message shared with the video simply states, “And now your wait begins. Stay tuned.” Whatever this is, it seems like we’ll learn more pretty soon.

The easiest guess in my estimation here is that this could be a new Game of Thrones stylized Xbox One console. The dragon scale design seems to resemble what could be the surface of an Xbox One console. That being said, I have a hard time believing this will be a mass-produced Xbox, if that’s what it is. No, instead I think it would be more along the lines of the limited edition consoles that are given away from time to time, much like the ones associated with the upcoming film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. I’m sure if this was mass-produced though, it’d make a ton of money.

So what do you think this is? Is it just going to be something as simple as a special edition Xbox One or could it be something more? Give me your best thoughts in the comments.
