We’ve known about The Alliance Alive HD Remastered for Nintendo Switch and PS4 since March, and are just over a month away from its October 8 release. While previous trailers have mainly focused on what has been improved or touched up in the transition from 3DS to HD consoles, The Alliance Alive HD Remastered’s latest trailer actually focuses on just introducing players to the game’s combat system in case they weren’t already familiar with it.

In The Alliance Alive HD Remastered, players are able to awaken weapon skills in order to enter an ignition state. Once they do so by dealing or taking enough damage, players can unlock several battle advantages for themselves. One of these is the Final Strike, which lets players use an attack that is very powerful, though it breaks the weapon that is equipped. The Alliance Alive features a combat system that is fairly risk vs reward heavy, and it is something DualShockers enjoyed in our review of the 3DS original.

You can see this combat system in action for yourself with the trailer below. The Alliance Alive HD Remastered releases for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2019, and the Awakening Edition that includes 9 paper dolls can be pre-ordered on Amazon.
