Bringing the acclaimed PS2 classic to life in a new way, the upcoming (and highly-anticipated) remake of Shadow of the Colossus promises to deliver a stunning recreation of the original title with the visual enhancements expected from a modern title, with a new Photo Mode feature on the way to make the game’s heartbreaking story your own.

In a new post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony detailed the new Photo Mode feature that will be heading to the Shadow of the Colossus remake on PS4 that will allow users to capture and edit their own screenshots from the epic journey.

Specifically, Bluepoint Games art director Mark Skelton detailed in the post that the Photo Mode feature was one that the studio knew right from the bat should be included with the team’s work on enhancing and and rebuilding the game’s visuals “from the ground up (literally).”

Skelton highlighted that the Photo Mode feature will provide players with “power and flexibility” as far as taking photos in-game, with the mode allowing players (like in other titles) the chance to use various filters and adjustment settings to tailor the photos to your liking, along with a camera system that allows players to take photos from either the perspective of the main character, Wander, or his horse, Agro.

Shadow of the Colossus will head to PS4 on February 6th, 2018 – for a closer look at the remake’s new Photo Mode feature, you can check out the image gallery below of images taken from the team at Bluepoint Games.
