Rust Console Edition – Standard and Deluxe Release Time Confirmed

It’s been a long time coming, but survival fans are now incredibly close to being able to play Rust on their home consoles.

The game has been out in some form for over seven years now, releasing in early access all the way back in 2014, before getting a full release in February of 2018.

Following the full release, developers Facepunch confirmed there would be a console version, however, due to COVID and other issues, this was delayed for a prolonged period of time.

Thankfully, we’re now on the precipice of launch and the Rust Console Edition release date and time has been confirmed, here is all the information you need to know.

Split Release

The first thing to note is that the game is having a split release as there are three editions of the game.

The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions release a few days before the Standard and come with a range of extra content.

Deluxe Edition purchasers gain the “New Cobalt Employee – Welcome Pack” and Ultimate Edition owners will get the Ultimate Welcome pack, Elite Combat skin pack and 1100 Rust Coins.

Rust Console Edition – Deluxe and Ultimate Release Date and Time.

Thankfully, for those fully invested in Rust, you don’t have too long to wait.

The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game release tomorrow, Tuesday, May 18.

In terms of the Rust Console Edition release time, both Microsoft and Sony have confirmed.

In terms of Xbox – both the US and UK stores state that the game will be coming out at 1 am local time.

PlayStation owners are looking at a similar timeframe, however, the game does look to be releasing an hour earlier. According to the PlayStation Store, Rust will be released at midnight local time.

Rust Console Edition – Standard Release Date and Time.

In terms of the Standard versions of Rust Console Edition, they come out three days later, launching on Friday, May 21.

Xbox is the only one of the two major players to reconfirm the launch time, with Rust hitting the platform at 1 am again. Sony’s Storefront just shows the release date.

This is likely to mean the game will launch at midnight once again, however, as with the Deluxe Edition, we will be sure to update this post should things change.
