5pb announced Memories Off -Innocent Fille- for Dearest for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch and PC. 5pb alraedy announced in the past that the game would be coming, but with no release date or proper name revealed.
Memories Off is one of the most iconic and beloved long-running romance visual novel series. The first Memories Off game released for PlayStation in 1999 and the series has been running since, with more than 15 games in total.
Most Memories Off games puts players into the shoes of a male high school student, who will end up starting a relationship with a different girl depending on the player’s choices. Each game has many routes and endings. The series is well known for its well written dramatic love stories, which often involve love triangles.
Memories Off -Innocent Fille- is the 8th main game in the series. The story takes place in October and stars Kasane Kusunose, a 17 years old high school student from Sapporo, who’s always dreaming of breaking his usual routine, wishing to be able one day to go “somewhere very far away”. Kasane’s dream comes true when his childhood friend Riichi Miki gets him on board for a special student exchange program. Kasane gets transferred to Shonan Seiro High, Riichi’s school. Kasane is able to break free of his boring routine, going to the same school as Riichi and his sisters Kotori and Yuzuri. All four of them used to play together seven years ago. Kasane ends up reuniting with his childhood friends and meeting new people, pushing his life forward.
Memories Off -Innocent Fille- for Dearest is a Fandisc for the game. As in, bonus content mostly featuring sequels to each of the girls’ routes in the game it is for. That way, players can choose the girl they went within the base game, and see how her relationship with the protagonist evolves after the base game’s endings.
Memories Off -Innocent Fille- for Dearest will launch on March 28 in Japan. The PC version is digital only. A limited edition will be available as well, containing a Drama CD and the “Memories Off -Innocent Fille-for Dearest Mini Sound Collection”, a compilation of the stories played on the series’s radio show. An acrylic stand will be included as well. A “Super Limited Edition”, only available on Mages/5pb’s online shop, will be detailed at a later date.
