The Rage 2 team has been working overtime the last few weeks, pumping out trailer after trailer to get the hype train really rolling before the May 14 release date. In today’s trailer, the team is showing off all the bonuses you get for pre-ordering Rage 2, as well as the goodies that come with purchasing the Digital Deluxe edition.
If you pre-order Avalanche Studio’s latest shooter, you’ll be given five bonus items. For starters, you get access to the exclusive “Cult of the Death God” mission, which sounds promising, at the very least. You’ll also get a new skin for your monster truck and a Settler pistol to pump up your arsenal.
Players will also get to don the armor of Nicholas Raine, who longtime Rage fans will remember as the protagonist from the first game. Finally, you’ll get access to the “He’s On Fire” cheat code, which brings in the announcer from NBA Jam to talk over your combat. Yes, it’s ridiculous. And yes, it’s awesome.
Purchasers of the Digital Deluxe edition will get a number of extra items. First, you get access to the notorious BFG from DOOM. They’re also giving you a battle standard for your vehicles, a “progress booster”, and all of the Wasteland Wizard cheat codes, which lets you do all kinds of crazy things.
Most substantially, the Digital Deluxe includes the Rise of the Ghosts expansion. This campaign add-on will be coming out later this Summer. If you want to see everything included, check out the trailer at the bottom of this post.
Rage 2 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on May 14.
