Ahead of its arrival in the west later this spring, Atlus has today let loose a new trailer for the highly-anticipated release of Persona 5 Royal.
The newest trailer for Persona 5 Royal puts the emphasis on The Phantom Thieves, the iconic group that the game centers on. If you’re unfamiliar with just who is involved with this entourage, this new trailer shows off the cast of characters that you’ll meet over the course of the adventure.
Perhaps most notably, especially for those who aren’t aware of what changes will be arriving in Royal, this trailer shows off the newest addition to The Phantom Thieves, Kasumi Yoshizawa. Unlike the original game, Kasumi is a new addition to Persona 5 Royal specifically and seems like just your ordinary first-year Japanese student. Like all of the other members of The Phantom Thieves, this trailer highlights the moves that Kasumi will have at her disposal, in addition to giving us a listen to what her western voice will sound like.
As someone who still hasn’t played Persona 5 (I know, I’m sorry) I’m thrilled at this point that I’ve held off on diving into it. With the first part of this year largely empty now thanks to so many recent delays, I think I should finally be able to jump into the world of Persona 5 for myself once Royal arrives.
