Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus Receives First Gameplay Trailer

Earlier today, Bandai Namco Entertainment unveiled Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus, an enhanced Nintendo Switch version of last year’s Pac-Man Championship Edition 2, which released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is currently poised to launch on February 22, 2018, but before then, a gameplay trailer for the title was released.

This version of the game will contain an exclusive two-player co-op mode where two players can use a Joy-Con controller to play levels of Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus together. If one player happens to get captured by a ghost, the other will have the ability to rescue him; players will also have access to some exclusive new abilities in this mode. The developers confirmed that this mode won’t be coming to Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 on any other platform, so if this mode sounds interesting, you’ll have to pick up the Switch version to play it for yourself.

Outside of this new mode, the game’s updated gameplay, Score Attack mode, and Adventure mode are all still retained. If you want to see DualShockers’ thoughts on the game, you can check out our review from last year.

You can check out the new gameplay trailer below. Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, while Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch on February 22, 2018.
