Following the release of Nintendo’s financial results, the company announced a very sharp increase of its forecasts for the full year for both Switch shipments and all financial figures.

Below you can see the latest data on the number of console units Nintendo plans to ship worldwide before the end of the fiscal year, which is to say by March 31st, 2018.

According to the table above, the company’s forecast is 14 million units for Nintendo Switch and 600,000 million units for the 3DS family.

The new prediction for the Switch is higher than the one disclosed in April by a whopping four million units, meaning that Nintendo expects to have shipped 16.74 million units from the console’s release by March 31st, 2018 (2.74 million units were shipped before the end of the past fiscal year).

On the other hand, the prediction for the Nintendo 3DS remains unchanged.

Nintendo also modified its full-year outlook upwards, and not by just a little, as you can see in the table below. This was based on sales results. IE: the Switch is selling more than the original conservative estimates.

While the prediction for sales was increased considerably, both profit categories were actually doubled.

It’s worth mentioning that the Switch has been affected by severe supply constraints for months in several countries, including its Japanese home turf. It’s very likely that the numbers listed here would have been higher had the supply chain been more solid.

You can also check out the updated shipments as of September 30th for both Switch and 3DS.
