Tomorrow, NBA 2K22 will be available across all platforms, and once again, it will have two different editions for current-gen and next-gen consoles.

This year, the difference between the 8th-gen and 9th-gen versions of the game is more significant than before. So, it would be better to get the next-gen version if you are a veteran basketball fan. But if you still need more details, take a look at all the differences down below:
NBA 2K22 Next Gen VS Current Gen
Game Modes
MyCareer:
MyCareer mode will be available for both current-gen and next-gen consoles. The main difference is this mode is about The Neighborhood section. While current-gen players will found themselves in a new neighborhood, which is a big cruising ship, next-gen players will step into The City.
Simply put, The City is much larger than The Neighborhood, providing more activities for players, allowing them to drive bicycles, and participate in a wide variety of online events. This includes Hidden Talents and No Place Like Home activities exclusive for next-gen players.
The W:
For next-gen consoles, The W mode will be significantly improved, featuring a brand new player progression system along with a Badge list as well as a multiplayer mode called The W Online. Also, players will have three new activities to do in the Off-Day Experience.
MyNBA/MyWNBA:
Again, some big overhauls will be available in MyNBA/MyWNBA modes for next-gen players. This includes new management systems such as MyStaff, Staff Overview, Staff Card Upgrade, Individual and Team Training, Prep Hub, and Conditional Coaching.
