Originally debuting in August of last year, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice earned critical acclaim for its dark and emotional story that revolved around a young woman grappling with mental illness, and since its debut, the title has reached a significant new sales milestone.

Developer and publisher Ninja Theory has announced that the title has now reached over one million in sales since it was first released last summer, with the total accounting for the game’s sales across all of its current platforms: PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The news is certainly good for Ninja Theory and well-deserved for one of its best titles yet, and with the recent news that the studio has been acquired by Microsoft at E3 2018 to deliver new exclusive titles for Xbox, the future certainly looks brighter as to what the studio will be working on next.

As a bonus, Ninja Theory also pointed to the fact that the game is currently available at a discount as part of the Steam Summer Sale going on now, and at 40% off its regular price, it’s definitely a worthwhile title to pick up.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
