Interestingly, this time the recruitment for the CBT is happening not through a Google form but through the hoYoLab site.

Moreover, it’s important to note that miHoYo did not specifically say this is the sign up for the 1.7 Beta and only stated “Genshin Impact beta tests”. This is only speculation on my part, but perhaps another Beta Test will be held simultaneously with the Version 1.7 one.

Genshin Impact 1.7 Beta Test – How to sign up?

You will need to access this page on HoYoLab. Be sure to double check your information as you complete the application. You will be unable to modify anything once you’ve submitted it.

Keep in mind this application is only the first step in the selection process for the Beta. Lastly, remember that if you do get selected, you will be strictly forbidden from sharing any data or info from the Beta. Non Disclosure Agreements aren’t a joke. Applying for the Beta means you wish to help out and actually test stuff while keeping quiet about everything.

Is Baizhu coming, and when will we get the first Genshin 1.7 leaks?

Looking at the latest leaks, assuming they’re true, it doesn’t seem like Baizhu or Dendro characters in general like Yaoyao will be releasing anytime soon.

Personally speaking, speculating on hints from miHoYo, I’m expecting Baizhu and Dendro characters to release with Version 1.8 in Fall or September 2021.

If miHoYo keeps the same modus operandi, the Beta Test for 1.7 should begin in mid-June, and we might see the first data mined leaks in late June 2021.

Lastly, miHoYo teased new Inazuma details on the 1.5 livestream, so perhaps part of the region could be added in 1.7.

Genshin Impact 1.7 – When’s the release date?

If the 6 weeks schedule stays in place, Genshin Impact Version 1.6 will launch on June 9, 2021, and Version 1.7 on July 21. We’ll be sure to confirm the release dates once the next livestream is announced, as we we’ll get all the official details on 1.6 including its release date then.

Genshin Impact is available on PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android. A Switch version is also in development, though miHoYo is reportedly struggling with the hardware from Nintendo.
