Frog Fractions is, without a doubt, one of the most inventive and hilarious games to come out in the past decade. The original browser-based game lit the internet on fire when it launched in 2012 and spawned a successful Kickstarter for a sequel. And now, the game is back in the limelight again as it is finally getting its own executable on Steam. The game doesn’t have a firm release date, but the plan is to launch in 2020.

Frog Fractions is a tough game to talk about. It’s a game that absolutely needs to be experienced, but if I tell you why then it ruins the fun. Just know that almost nothing is what it seems. What feels like a relatively basic edutainment game, is anything but.
And that’s why I’m so excited about this Steam release. Sure, anyone could go play Frog Fractions right now, but the visibility the game will get on Steam should draw in tons of players who would’ve never seen the game. Plus, it’s easy for younger gamers who missed the initial onslaught of coverage to get in on one of the best games of the last decade. Seriously, I don’t think it’s possible to play this game and not have a constant smile on your face. It’s that good.
Frog Fractions is available now in your chosen browser. However, if you want to wait, the Steam release will hit at some point this year. If you haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying the Frog Fractions experience, please play it. You will not regret it.
