With it being the day before Christmas, you might’ve expected EA Sports to release something of a gift to the FIFA 21 community. Sadly, today’s player SBC for FUT Freeze is an incredibly expensive Roberto Firmino card. Now, it’s worth noting that it’s a very good card. The defense boost makes him an exceptional CDM candidate and his links are almost without comparison. In fact, I don’t even know if he’s overpriced. It’s just such a shame that he’s the only new player today. If this was FUTmas from years past, it wouldn’t feel as deflating. However, EA decided to chase that money over giving players grindable content.

For most casual players, especially the ones who might be getting FIFA 21 as a holiday gift, this will be tough to afford. You should absolutely do his loan card for Friendlies, but wow, the full card is going to cost you a few kidneys. And, you don’t even have to leave Firmino’s team to find a comparable player that’s about 300,000 coins cheaper.
Gini Wijnaldum has a new Road to the Final live card that’s already almost on par. Liverpool has RB Leipzig in the next round, so I think it’s relatively safe to assume they’re going through. So, he’ll get a boost that could make him better than Firmino. Sure, that’s not until February, but you could do a lot with 300,000 coins over the next two months. If you must do it, give the solutions below a look for some inspiration.
FIFA 21 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Check back tomorrow to see if EA decides to drop anything fun to celebrate Christmas. Don’t get your hopes up though.
