Drawn to Death Developer The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency Hit With Layoffs

David Jaffe, drawn to death, News, PS4, the Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency

The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency has been hit with layoffs according to a tweet from the studio’s lead David Jaffe.

Bartlet Jones was a studio established by Jaffe in 2013 with the team’s first game, Drawn to Death, being released in April of 2017. Drawn to Death was developed in tandem with SIE Sony San Diego and was met with a lukewarm response from both fans and critics alike upon its release last year. Since that time, the game has struggled to gain a steady player base.

The layoffs have occurred due to the studio’s next project being canceled. Jaffe had passively talked about the upcoming game that the team was working on Twitter, but it seems that the project will unfortunately now never see the light of day. As a result, the studio has needed to downsize.

Jaffe says that more news regarding the layoffs will be coming shortly, so we’ll keep an eye out for any more notable information as this story develops. As always, our best goes out to everyone at The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency affected by these layoffs and we hope they each land on their feet soon.
