With the official PS+ line-up of games announced for June, Operation: Tango is leading the month as the free PlayStation 5 game for the month. Operation: Tango is sure to be a big hit with players, but will the cooperative adventure game feature split-screen or local co-op?

Operation: Tango is a game designed for two players to work together in order to complete dangerous missions. So, any extra co-op features such as split-screen or local co-op are going to be an important element to many users downloading the game in June.

Is Operation: Tango Split Screen or Local Co-op?

For those picking up Operation: Tango free on PS+, you may be disappointed if you’re looking for split-screen or local co-op support.

Unfortunately, Operation: Tango does not support either split-screen or local co-op. According to the official Steam Store Page for the game, Operation: Tango is ‘online co-op only’. The official PlayStation Store Page for the game also states that ‘Online play required’ as well as a PS Plus membership also being required to play Operation: Tango.

What Is Operation: Tango?

Operation: Tango is an upcoming espionage co-op game that will be available for free for those that are a subscriber to PlayStation Plus in the month of June.

The cooperative spy game will also be available for purchase on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.

The official description of Operation: Tango reads, “Operation: Tango is an espionage-themed cooperative adventure challenging you and a friend to complete dangerous missions across the globe in a high-tech near-future world. As an exclusive team of two, you and your partner will become AGENT and HACKER, working in tandem to bring a high-tech global menace to its knees. With only your voice to link you, teamwork is crucial, and communication is key!”

Players will be required to complete co-op puzzles, use hi-tech tools, and communicate with your teammate to complete intense missions.

Operation: Tango requires both players to use a microphone.

PS+ June Free Games

In case you missed the announcement, Operation: Tango won’t be the only free game up for grabs this month. If you’re a member of PlayStation Plus during the month of June you can pick up Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown (PS4), Star Wars: Squadrons (PS4), and Operation: Tango (PS5) for no extra cost.

These games are only available for the month of June and will not be playable once your PlayStation Plus
