During a livestream from Tokyo, Bandai Namco showcased the upcoming new Digimon game, Digimon Survive.
The game was introduced by Producers Kazumasa Habu and Katsuaki Tsuzuki. It’s defined a “survival simulation RPG”
We get the first trailer, and you can check it out below, providing a look at the characters that will populate the game’s world. While the video is brief, it’s enough to provide a look at a few tidbits of gameplay on top of the cutscenes.
The gameplay is split between a “drama part” where the story develops and a “battle part” where combat between monsters happens.
As we mentioned when the game was first revealed, this certainly looks like a departure from the latest Digimon game for consoles, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory.

The game will be released in Japan for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2019.
