Destiny 2 Will See the Return of Xur, Nightfalls, and Raids in Game’s First Month

The highly anticipated online shooter, Destiny 2, has finally been released to the masses. Millions of Guardians have explored the game’s new locations, progressed through its story, and garnered that sweet exotic loot. Once players finish everything there is to do in Destiny 2, what then? How is Bungie going to entertain the plethora of Guardians until the game’s next expansion? The well-known developer released an outline of its first month’s activities, and it seems players will have plenty to do for the next four weeks.

Launch week begins the festivities with the release of Destiny 2, and a Nightfall mission to boot. Additionally, a new type of objective known as a Flashpoint will be available for the game’s Earth location, EDZ. These particular missions task players to complete public events for “powerful gear.”

Week 2 features a ton of content including a new Nightfall, Flashpoint, and most notably, the launch of the Leviathan raid. On the Tuesday of this particular time frame, the Guided Games beta will be available for a select group of players.

Xur, the mysterious exotic engram dealer, will make his debut in Destiny 2 next Friday. As always, he will bring a selection of high level gear for players to purchase.

Bungie will continue its support through the month of September with new Nightfalls and Flashpoints every week. The developer also promises “new challenges” in October including the game’s ranked multiplayer event, the Iron Banner. The outline for this month’s activities can be seen below.

Destiny 2 is the latest release from critically acclaimed developer, Bungie. Recently, the game’s first expansion, Curse of Osiris, was revealed on the Xbox Store.
