Destiny 2 update 2.19 is a small hotfix that eliminates two big issues after the addition of the recent Season of the Splicer content.

As always, every major content drop is followed by a small hotfix. With the arrival of Season of the Splicer on May 11, some new bugs and unintended features appeared in the game, which soon turned off by today’s hotfix.

The latest Destiny 2 update fixes two bugs, but you probably wouldn’t mind if the second bug still existed in the game. While the first one is a Sign-in crashing bug, the second one is the game’s cross-play feature. Let’s jump into the patch notes for more details.

Destiny 2 Update 2.19 Patch Notes

  • Fixed an issue that was causing some players to crash when signing in.
  • Fixed an issue where some players were able to access Cross Play early.

The interesting part about the patch notes is turning off the cross-play feature of the game by Bungie, which was accidentally enabled after the Season of the Splicer update on May 11.

Sooner or later, Destiny 2 will add the cross-play feature to its servers on all platforms. However, it seems the feature has not been completed yet. It’s yet to be seen whether Destiny 2 would feature cross-play between PC and consoles or it would deliver a Fortnite-like cross-play where Xbox and PlayStation players can also play together.

The new season has brought tons of new quests, triumphs, challenges, cosmetics, weapons, and items to the game.

Destiny 2 is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The Xbox Game Pass subscribers on PC and consoles can get free access to the game’s post-launch expansions including Beyond Light.
