Some combinations are undeniably perfect. Spaghetti and meatballs, peanut butter and jelly, cats and role-playing games. If you’re a fan of the latter you’re in luck, as Gentlebros Games announced that they’re developing Cat Quest II.
Announced through a teaser trailer from Gentlebros Games’ official YouTube channel, Cat Quest II looks to scratch the same itch as the first installment in the series. Framed through the lens of the age-old story of two kingdoms at war, Cat Quest II continues the classic action-RPG gameplay of the original, however, this time with a twist. In addition to playing as a cat, you also play the game as a dog, including the option for cooperative play with another player.
Seeing as the original Cat Quest was only single-player, the prospect of roaming around the vast landscape of Felingard with a friend seems all too compelling to pass up. Combined with the fact that the game will be released on a variety of portable platforms (iOS, Android, and the Nintendo Switch), Cat Quest II has a lot of potentials to be a fun, fulfilling experience for players stationed in front of a console or riding the bus with a friend.
