Developer Treyarch and publisher Activision have officially announced a brand new type of weapon for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, titled Signature Weapons, and players who pre-order the game will be able to take advantage of a specific one right from the start.
Signature Weapons themselves will not be different weapons altogether but instead will be variants of existing guns. Of course, these variants won’t change the weapon’s stats one bit, with only the look of the gun getting an upgrade.
Of course, once players obtain the variant they desire, they aren’t done, as each one comes with its own set of challenges. Once completed, players will be able to unlock a Mastercraft version of the gun, but again, the stats won’t change one bit.
Activision and Treyarch have also announced a brand new pre-order bonus for the game and it ties right into the recently announced Signature Weapons. Players who pre-order at GameStop will receive the Signature version of the Strife pistol, while Pro Edition buyers, which in and of itself is exclusive to GameStop, will gain access to the Signature version of the MX-9.
