The Biomutant update for the first day of launch is now available across all platforms for those who have purchased it physically.

After long anticipation, Biomutant finally released today. The game has been in development since 2017 at the Experiment 101 studio, a team with less than 20 developers.

Although the game was originally slated for a lunch during the last generation of consoles, the COVID-19 challenges and other development issues forced Experiment 101 to push back the release date, which didn’t accompany by native ninth-gen versions.

Biomutant Update 2.01 Patch Notes

  • Game stability Fixes and misc bugfixes

Unfortunately, the patch notes don’t contain any specific list of bug fixes or improvements, and it’s pretty usual for the day one updates. Since the game has launched today, and no one – except for reviewers – has played it previously, it doesn’t seem too necessary to prepare a detailed patch notes list for a day one update.

Keep in mind that if you have purchased the game digitally, you won’t need to download the update above as the changes have already applied to that version of the game. On the other hand, the physical version of the game will require the update 2.01 for a smooth and polished experience.

Biomutant is a post-apocalyptic role-playing experience that allows players to create their own character with a specific combat class and enter a wonderful world of mutated creatures. If you want to learn more about the game, make sure to check out Sam Woods’ review of Biomutant.

Biomutant is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S through the backward compatibility system. It’s worth noting that, unlike the Xbox Series X version, the PS5 edition of the game can not be run at the native 4K resolution.
