Just when you think every hidden detail in The Last of Us Part 2 has been found, another little treasure pops up.
It’s been just over a year since Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 launched and our hearts has yet to recover from the trauma and heartache the game produced. In that time, fans have been scouring every inch of the game’s environment, taking in every detail and discovering brand new secrets.

This time, The Last of Us fan and Youtuber Caitlin has unearthed a very cool little detail about Abby in Jackson. (also, thanks to Gamesradar) The video begins as Ellie is walking around the beautiful area of Jackson at the start of the game and as she walks up to an NPC who is holding a clipboard, Caitlin switches to the game’s photo mode.
By zooming in, we can begin to clearly see a list of names appear and halfway down the sheet, Abby and Manny’s name pops up. Of course, if you have played The Last of Us Part 2, their names being on this list in Jackson is an alarming one.
There are two possibilities why Abby and Manny are on the list. As pointed out by Caitlin in the description of the video, Abby’s name is probably on the list because it is a “reused assignment list from the FOB” and that Naughty Dog just forgot to take it out or maybe it was left in for eagle-eyed players who love this kind of thing.
There’s also the fact that Neil Druckmann previously stated that they had planned on Abby teaming up with the Jackson community whilst hiding her real motives for being there and then finding the best moment to do away with Joel. Thankfully, that idea was scrapped as I think how it played out was perfect but it would have been very interesting to see that alternate universe in how that would work.
While it’s unclear when The Last of Us series will premiere on HBO, filming will begin this July with the hopes of production coming to an end in June next year.
