On the heels of their recent release of Furi on Switch, developers The Game Bakers have announced a new artbook that encompasses all of the game’s cel-shaded-samurai goodness.

You can check out screenshots of the artbook below.

The book portrays the more than two years of development that went into making the game including Takashi Okazaki’s early character sketches, storyboards, cutscenes, environmental concept art, as well as drawings which detail characters’ combat moves.

The softcover book is 144 pages in total and comes with dust jacket for all of the time that it will inevitably sit on your shelves. It’ll run you around $35 USD or €30.00.

Sketches from the book go into greater detail than the game ever does but because of the game’s mysterious tones, the tell-all detail of the artbook offers more than just some pretty pictures. Early depictions of The Rider’s armor, for example, are depicted as physical restraints with keyhole-like detailing. Similarly, his blaster is shown as being mounted on his arm and changing shape in its “high-power” mode.

Furi initially released back in July of 2016 and only recently released on the Nintendo Switch this year. You can check out our review of the game on the new platform here, or read up on the game’s DLC and modes here.
