Telltale Games has embraced numerous franchises over the past few years from its acclaimed The Walking Dead series to Game of Thrones and this year’s Guardians of the Galaxy, while fans of the studio have much more to look forward to over the next year from the studio and some of its familiar faces.

Ahead of this year’s San Diego Comic Con 2017, Telltale Games released a “Summer 2017 Update” video highlighting several of the studio’s upcoming projects, which will encompass three titles – Batman: The Enemy Within (a follow-up to last year’s Batman: The Telltale Series), The Walking Dead: The Final Season, and a second season of The Wolf Among Us.

Specifically, Telltale explained that Batman: The Enemy Within will debut in August and act as the second season of the Batman series from Telltale, which will continue “Telltale’s unique take on the Caped Crusader” through a new five-part narrative. The first episode, “The Enigma,” will release on August 8th, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac, while iOS and Android versions of the title will release later this year. A season pass disc will also be available in October for PS4 and Xbox One. A description for the new season can be found below:

In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman’s new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?

Telltale’s second announcement was a brand new season of The Walking Dead, which will also serve as the series’ final season and release in 2018 on consoles, PC, Mac, and iOS/Android while “additional platforms are yet to be announced.” Notably, Clementine will once again return to the forefront of the story in the lead role and allow players to take control of her again and conclude her story started in the series’ first season back in 2012.

The final announcement from Telltale is one that fans of the studio have waited on for a long while, as the company confirmed that a second season of The Wolf Among Us is currently in development and expected to release in 2018. Citing “overwhelming popular demand from fans” since it first debuted in 2014, the new season of The Wolf Among Us will explore “a fresh story arc for its returning cast of characters,” including series’ mainstays like Bigby Wolf and Snow White.

Currently, the second season of The Wolf Among Us will be “a standalone product separate from season one,” and will release for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android, while “additional platforms are yet to be announced.”
