Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories, News, Originals, Platforms, PS4

Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu included a spread on the upcoming adventure game Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories.

First of all, we get to meet a few members of the cast, including the default playable female character Yuuko Ichikawa. The player can actually customize her name, gender, appearance, and job.

Shinji Taneda is a childhood friend of the protagonist. He has traveled to Tokyo in order to attend a job interview, which has been canceled at the last moment. Tsutomu Kawamura is a middle-aged man who was laid off due to the restructuring of his company. He hid this from his family, pretending to go to work every day and chilling at the nearby park.

Akemi Towada is a fashion designer and manager of a popular shop, while Natsumi Higa is an American-born English teacher at a private high school. She is trying to finding her students.

There are more than sixty different unique characters to interact with during the story.

We also get to see a few scenes from the beginning of the game, when a giant earthquake causes a crash involving the bus on which the protagonist is traveling. Chaos ensues, and the transportation network grinds to a halt.

The protagonist can listen to radio transmissions and consult a smartphone in order to receive useful information on how to survive and escape the disaster area. Roads are blocked by flooding and collapsed buildings.

Visiting an office building, an eerie situation appears, with employees more concerned about their jobs than about their own survival and safety. By visiting a fashion store, it’s possible to steal clothes to wear while exploring the disaster-stricken city.

You can enjoy the gallery below, keeping in mind that the screenshots are from magazine scans, so the quality is not perfect. If you want to see more, you can check out the latest trailer.

Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories is coming exclusively for PS4, and it will be released in Japan in 2018.
