Codemasters’ long-running Formula 1 franchise comes roaring off the starting grid in a new gameplay trailer for F1 2018: The Official VideoGame.

The latest trailer focuses on a whole host of different aspects that will be available in this year’s racer. Media coverage will be represented as a series of time-pressured interviews, making use of a dialogue wheel. The driver creation aspect will allow players to customize their characters from the outfits they wear all the down to their in-game audio name. Rival drivers will also be available from a selection of real-life F1 professionals.

Of course, what would a Formula 1 game be without cars; and this one has a huge selection of vehicles at hand, including an array of 20 selectable classics dating all the way back to 1972. Among these retro racers are eight new cars with 2009’s Brawn BGP-001, Team Lotus’ 72D from 1972, 1976’s McLaren M23-D, and the 1979 Ferrrari 312 T4 joining the lineup for the first time.

You can check out the trailer below. F1 2018: The Official VideoGame will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on August 24.
