Just under one year ago, Nintendo introduced us to a brand new IP from Game Freak called Town. Unfortunately, we have barely heard anything about the title since then outside of the fact that it was still slated for 2019. Town finally reemerged during today’s Nintendo Direct, and we got to see more gameplay and learn its new title: Little Town Hero.

It is an RPG, but it plays a bit differently than Pokemon, which was also showcased during this Direct. For Game Freak fans that desire something new from the developer following the National Dex controversy, Town seems like a game to keep an eye on. It even features a soundtrack with several tracks from Undertale’s Toby Fox.

Check out Little Town Hero’s portion of the Nintendo Direct below. Nintendo and Game Freak have confirmed that the game will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on October 16 and will be available for pre-load later today.
