Although in the early stages of development, the sequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been on the lips of fans during 2021’s Guerrilla Collective
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, developed by ArtPlay and published by 505 Games, was led by former Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi, and is considered a spiritual successor to the series.
The game is the second in the Bloodstained series and released on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2019. Recently, word got around that a sequel was rumoured to be in the works due to a financial report suggesting that another “version” of the Metroidvania title could be seeing the light of day.
The Bloodstained Twitter account has since acknowledged the reports and confirmed that 505 Games and ArtPlay are indeed working on the sequel. Fans of the series had hoped to see more information at this year’s Guerrilla Collective.

A short gameplay clip of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was showcased at the Guerrilla Collective as well as social media reactions where fans praised the title but unfortunately, nothing regarding the sequel has been highlighted just yet.
Is there an expected release date for the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Sequel?
As of right now, the only thing we know is that the sequel will happen and as for when? no details have been outlined at this time. However, the publisher took to Twitter to keep fans up to date as much as they can in regards to the development of the sequel.
“Regarding recent reports, @505_Games and @ArtplayEN are in the very early planning stages for a #Bloodstained sequel. However, current development resources are focused on completing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s upcoming content. We have a lot planned for you.”
