Apex Legends – Genesis Collection Event Details

Genesis is the latest Collection Event to hit Apex Legends and will feature the return of the original Kings Canyon and World’s Edge map.

During the event, a new Legacy Maps Apex Takeover will feature the original maps for a limited time only. The returning maps will take over the normal Trios and Duos queues in 1-hour rotations.

Arenas will also receive fan favorite zone, Skull Town, arrive in the competitive mode. Skull Town will be added to the Arenas rotation in 1 hour increments during the Genesis Collection Event.

As well as returning maps and Arena changes, there will be 24 themed, limited time cosmetics for players to obtain. And finally, a new heirloom set for Revenant will become available via heirloom crafting.

Apex Legends – Genesis Event Release Date & Expected Start Time

The upcoming Genesis Collection Event for Apex Legends will kick off on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021. Although an official start time has yet to be revealed for the event, it is expected to begin at 10AM PT | 1PM ET | 6PM BST.

This is the usual time that Respawn Entertainment releases updates for Apex Legends, and also the time that the previous Chaos Theory Collection Event began on March 9th.

Event End Date

Players will have exactly two weeks to enjoy the benefits of the new Collection Event, as it finishes on Tuesday, July 13.

That means there are only 14 days to unlock all the rewards on the event’s track and to nab the range of hot new items and skins.

Should you not be able to compete too much in the event window, however, Respawn confirms that cosmetics may return at a later date.

They say:

“Some event-specific cosmetics and rewards will return at a later date, but not all of them. Event items fall into these categories:

Event Exclusive – Can only be obtained during the specific event period in which they first appear. Will not be made available again in the future.
Battle Pass Exclusive – Can only be obtained during the specific event period in which they first appear by Battle Pass owners who reach the required level. Will not be made available again in the future.
Event Limited – May return in a future event or promotion.”
