Last year, developer Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA announced the Total War Saga series. Titles within this sub-series are set up to be shorter spin-off games based on specific moments throughout history and will help fill the space between major Total War releases. The developers had previously unveiled the first of these titles, A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, but today we finally got the two things that are likely the most important to game’s audience. It’s system requirements and release dates.
A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia will release exclusively on PC on April 19, and is currently available for pre-order on Steam. Those who pre-order the game will get a 10% discount. Charitably, Creative Assembly also revealed that they will be donating 25% of their profit from every pre-sale to War Child UK.
For those of you in Europe looking to pick up A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia physically, you will be able to get the game’s Limited Edition, which includes the game in a Steelbook case styled after Anglo Saxon helmets, a double-sided poster, and five collectible art cards of the faction leaders. Unfortunately, the Limited Edition is currently planned to release in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, and Australia, so a digital purchase will have to suffice if you don’t live in those countries.
As I mentioned before, the system requirements for A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia were also revealed. They are similar to Total War: Atilla’s but the minimum requirements have been updated slightly to reflect advancements in the technology the game uses.
