Sega just released the first trailer of its upcoming PS4 remaster of the PS3 classic Yakuza 3.
The trailer provides a nice view on the game, letting us grab a glimpse on the improved graphics that will let Yakuza 3 shine on Sony’s newer console.
We get to see both cutscenes and gameplay, from the familiar fighting action to all those minigames that Yakuza fans know and love.
On top of the trailer, we also get the first direct-feed screenshots, and the key artwork, showing a much younger Kazuma Kiryu (at least compared to Yakuza 6).
The game will run at 1080p resolution and 60 frames-per-second (the original ran at 720p, 30 FPS), and it’ll release in Japan on August 9th, followed by Yakuza 4 in the fall and Yakuza 5 next spring.
Incidentally, we also learn that the Yakuza series has shipped over ten million units worldwide, which is quite an achievement.
You can check them all out below. If you’re unfamiliar with the series, you can also read our review of its latest release, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. You can grab a copy on Amazon. If you already have the last chapter of Kazuma Kiryu Adventures, you can pre-order Kiwami 2.
