Breath of the Wild 2 has been made by an eager fan who just can’t wait for the game’s release any longer.

Any gamer will tell you the heartache of having to wait for a title that they’ve been longing to play and the weeks just don’t seem to go any faster until its release. Even though Zelda fans did get a little look into Nintendo”s next Breath of the Wild instalment at E3 this year, let’s be real – it just wasn’t enough.

We may not know a great deal about BOTW2 and that even includes the titles proper name due to not wanting to reveal too much about the story, but one fan has taken it upon themselves to create the sequel because they were just too impatient to wait until next year.

Reddit user, software engineer and YouTuber, AvatarNick has put together an incredible gameplay video of Breath of the Wild 2 using Blender and Unity. By taking inspiration from Nintendo’s BOTW trailers, Nick manages to pull off some epic animations that include Bokoblins’ stone talus and the Floating Islands.

Nick even implements a boss battle between Link and the mighty Ganondorf. If you’re wondering how they created Ganondorf for this particular sequence, Nick states ” I found an undead Ganon model online that was intended for 3D printing and luckily, Blender can handle these files so I imported it, painted it, rigged it and brought it into the game”.

You’ll also see that Link’s arm has been recreated also. Nick replaced the arm with a ghost hand by sectioning it off from the Ganon model and rendering it in Blender. It’s a really awesome video and something that BOTW fans will really appreciate. If only they could play it!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch with a 2022 release window.
