Xbox One X Support for Rocket League is Finally Scheduled to Arrive in December

News, Originals, PC, PS4, Psyonix, Rocket League, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox One X

Following the start of Season 9 of Rocket League just a few weeks back, Psyonix has today provided an update and what new content fans can expect to see to hit the game before the end of 2018.

In a new blog on the official Rocket League website, Psyonix said they have one major update planned for the remainder of the year that is scheduled as of now to drop in early December. Most notably for those who own the Xbox One X, this update will finally bring 4K functionality to Rocket League. Yes, that means 4K, 60FPS, and HDR will all be compatible for those with Microsoft’s premium console. Psyonix said they’ll share more on these details in the future.

Additionally, it was announced that the newest Rocket Pass will also be releasing around the same time as this update. Much like the last Rocket pass, it’ll include new items and another licensed piece of DLC, which is currently being kept under wraps.

Last but not least, Frosty Fest 2018 will kick off in December and will work just like most other in-game events for Rocket League. You’ll be able to earn snowflakes for playing multiplayer games online and then will be able to redeem this currency for various new items that fit in with the event’s theme. Again, Psyonix says they’ll reveal more official details on this later with more specific start and end dates for Frosty Fest coming this fall.

If you’re still pouring tons of hours into Rocket League like I know many even on staff here at DualShockers are, then it has to be exciting to see Psyonix continuing to support this game the way that they are. When we learn more about Frosty Fest and the upcoming Xbox One X update, we’ll let you know.
