What could be in store for Resident Evil Village DLC?

Resident Evil Village released last Friday which saw fans of the series getting to grips with the game’s terror-filled world and horrific characters. While many are still knee-deep into RE8’s spooky narrative, those who have now completed the game are wondering if Capcom has DLC planned.

We know that Resident Evil 8‘s multiplayer add-on, Re: Verse, will arrive at some stage this summer after a delay by Capcom but this leaves players to question whether the main game will ever see some extra content, too.

Will Resident Evil Village receive any DLC?

Going by Resident Evil 7‘s previously released DLC that included an episode titled Not A Hero and another one called End of Zoe, there’s a good chance due to the immense popularity of RE8 that Capcom could supply the game with the same treatment.

Obviously, nothing official has been stated by Capcom at this time of writing and this is purely speculation but, in my opinion, those who have already finished Resident Evil Village will certainly want to see more of its world and characters.

Many players questioned why Lady Dimitrescu didn’t play a larger role throughout Resident Evil Village and weren’t satisfied with the length of time they had to interact with the tall vampire lady given all the hype surrounding her.

Lady Dimitrescu and Mother Miranda expansion

This would be the perfect opportunity for Capcom to rectify this by including a Lady Dimitrescu episode where fans could delve further inside the mind and lair of the mutant. I think it’s also a fair statement to say that Mother Miranda got the short end of the stick, too. Only really popping up at the end of the game even though her story was extremely compelling and interesting.

For right now at least, players can get their hands on the Trauma Pack DLC that’s available in the Collector’s, Deluxe, and Complete Editions. The pack includes production notes and art designs that show off Ada Wong who was originally included in RE8 but eventually cut out post-production.

Resident Evil Village is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
