Among Us is currently one of the biggest games in the world. The game sees groups gather, with one or two becoming imposters. While the crewmates try and complete the tasks, the imposters have the role of sabotaging and murdering the crew. It’s the simplistic yet hilarious gameplay that has meant that over half a billion people played the game in November alone. Sadly however, today, March 3, people have been left asking “Why is Among Us not working?” – Is it the servers or is there something more? Let’s take a look.

Why is Among Us not working?
It looks like the issue that’s currently happening with Among Us is simply to do with the servers. An official tweet from the game’s developer InnerSloth stated:
“Quick server update: we’re aware that the Among Us servers are currently overloaded and kicking players! Really sorry! We’re looking into getting that handled as soon as possible. Thanks for the patience as we get these beans sorted out.”

When will Among Us be back online?
Unfortunately, that’s not clear. The developers said “quick server update” which hopefully means it won’t be too much longer, especially as that tweet was sent out almost two hours ago. Hang in there!
What’s next for Among Us?
We SHOULD be getting the new map any time soon. After being revealed at The Game Awards for an early 2021 release, the Airship map is still yet to arrive. With the impact of the COVID pandemic being felt all around the game development world, small delays are unsurprising, yet welcome should they be required.
