One of the last occasions in which we heard news about Compulsion Games’ upcoming survival game We Happy Few, the title had been delayed into Summer of 2018. Today, that silence was broken.
Compulsion Games released a short new gameplay teaser on their YouTube channel today which shows off a couple quick new glimpses of action from We Happy Few. We also are introduced to the game’s third playable character, Ollie, who is shown prominently in the video.
In addition to the gameplay teaser, Compulsion Games revealed some new information regarding release date details in the comments of the video. They promised that those who are still waiting to learn the exact launch date of We Happy Few won’t have to wait much longer. Their statement reads as follows:
A release date will be announced very soon, we really appreciate your patience and support! The song is from our original soundtrack which will also be revealed soon!
E3 seems to be a likely location for Compulsion Games to once again reveal a release date for We Happy Few and it would almost be somewhat poetic to do so. For those that remember, We Happy Few’s first mainstream exposure came during Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2016 in a trailer that seemed to captivate everyone. If Compulsion Games does reveal a release date at E3, it’d be a nice way to come full circle.
