Following the reveal of the western release of Warriors Orochi 4, Koei Tecmo released quite a few more assets of the upcoming game.
First of all, we get the box art for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, followed by a nice batch of screenshots.
We get to see returning characters and some of the environments in which they will fight.
Some of the screenshots below were showcased on the Japanese website earlier this morning, but some are new (showing some of the environments of the game), and those that aren’t are in much better resolution here.
We also get another blurb directly from the press release, giving more color to what we can expect from the game, which includes 170 characters, 165 of which are returning:
“Set in a world on the brink of chaos, heroes from across the Warring States period of Japan and the Three Kingdoms era of China successfully defeat the evil Orochi and end his reign. After overcoming their desperate struggle to save the world, our heroes return to their respective eras – or so they think. These two worlds, merged by an unknown entity, are again threatened and the heroes must find the key to restore them and return to their respective homes. As they begin to uncover the mystery surrounding their arrival in these new fused lands, their discoveries lead them to one deity: Zeus, the supreme god among gods.”
We also get a high-resolution image of the full artwork with the characters revealed so far, and the silhouette of the new character Zeus, whose look for now remains a mystery.
Warriors Orochi 4 will launch for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in North America and Europe this year, while Japan will get only the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions.
The press release also promised more information on the coming weeks, so you can definitely expect to read more as it trickles down the grapevine.
