The official Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Twitter confirmed that even though the title, which is set to launch sometime in Q1 2020, is releasing on the Epic Games store it will not be exclusive to it:

The account’s status update quotes another tweet that had previously confirmed this position in March, in response to a fan’s inquire on their official stance. In it they further explain that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be coming out to the Paradox store, Steam, GOG, Epic Games store as well as being available for purchase on PS4 and Xbox One:

In that same thread, the Bloodlines 2 account fielded a few other questions, such as when pre-orders will be available for the physical version (no date as of yet but it will be announced via social media) and if there will be any special items coming with the physical edition version (that’s currently in talks but nothing has been confirmed yet).

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was announced back in late March and is set in Seattle, where players are in the center of a vicious blood war between different vampire factions after being “created in an act of vampire insurrection.” This title will also feature a “reactive” story that will influence whether the titular masquerade that vampires don’t exist is kept up.

According to the developers, Bloodlines 2 is “uniquely Seattle” because “if you look back over history, Seattle is very much a boom and bust town….That’s what the themes of the story are rooted in, there’s a lot to tie into there, even down to the personal level.” The title was also confirmed to not have a day and night cycle since there wasn’t enough to justify playing in the daytime, although time will progress throughout the story.
