After the cancellation of E3 2020 was announced earlier this year, publisher Ubisoft revealed that it would be holding its own digital event later on in the summer to take the place of the convention. As of today, we now know when this event will be transpiring.

On social media, Ubisoft recently announced that its digital showcase will take place two months from now on July 12, 2020. The event is being called “Ubisoft Forward” and is said to contain “exclusive game news, reveals and more.” This will be the first such digital event of this kind that Ubisoft has ever held before, so it should be interesting to see how it comes together.

As for what the publisher will be talking about, most of their upcoming titles are known quantities at this point. The recently unveiled Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will surely be making an appearance of some sort, as will games such as Watch Dogs: LegionRainbow Six: Quarantine, and Gods & Monsters. The latter three games mentioned here were originally supposed to launch in the early portion of 2020, but were eventually delayed. Since that time, Ubisoft has announced plans to bring all three titles to next-gen platforms eventually.

Considering how extensive Ubisoft’s upcoming slate is, this could be a rather large showing for the company. There’s a lot of news regarding each of these projects that needs to be unveiled, so expecting release dates and new gameplay footage for all of these aforementioned games doesn’t seem to be out of the question.

We’ll keep you posted on everything regarding Ubisoft and this new Forward event as we move through the coming weeks.
